Jacinta El-Mohamed

Bariatric Nurse Coordinator

Jacinta is a Bariatric Nurse Coordinator. She holds a pivotal role in the management of our weight loss surgery patients.

Jacinta graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from Deakin University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing from LaTrobe University. She has extensive experience working in the operating suite and following patients' post-operative journeys. This enables her to bring a well-rounded approach to your care.

Jacinta works alongside your surgeon to facilitate the high level of care provided at Melbourne Weight Loss Surgery. She will see you at regular intervals both pre and post-surgery and liaises with the medical and allied health teams to ensure you feel supported in your journey with us.

Jacinta believes in a holistic approach to patient care. She is passionate about finding strategies which are individually tailored to each patient and allow them to achieve their weight loss goals.

Jacinta consults at our East Melbourne, Werribee and Bendigo locations.

Jessie Leahy

Bariatric Nurse Coordinator

Jessie is one of our practice nurses. She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from RMIT University. She has extensive experience caring for patients during the post-operative period specialising in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery in both the public and private sector.

Jessie works alongside your surgeon to facilitate the high level of care provided at Melbourne Weight Loss Surgery. She will see you at regular intervals, both pre and post-surgery and liaises with the medical and allied health teams to ensure you feel supported in your journey with us.

Jessie loves to travel, among her favourite destinations are Iceland, Morocco, The Galapagos Islands and Cambodia. These days she is more likely to be found in a playground chasing after her two little boys!

Denee Dang

Denee is one of our practice nurses, and concurrently works as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit at The Alfred Hospital. Denee graduated Bachelor of Nursing with First Class Honours and has published in areas of cardiology. Denee has also completed her postgraduate degree in Advanced Clinical Nursing (ICU critical care) and has extensive experience caring for complex patients during the post-operative period. Denee works alongside your surgeon to achieve your goals and optimise outcomes. Denee will see you at regular intervals, both pre and post-surgery and liaises with the multidisciplinary team to ensure you are feeling supported in your journey with us. Denee enjoys exploring new places, trying new restaurants and travelling.
